Eva Maria Laut Ebbesen
Stage- and Costume Designer
I’m a danish stage- and costume designer. I graduated with honours in Scenography in 2014 from The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria, where I studied under Professors Erich Wonder and Anna Viebrock. My studies in Vienna included: Stage and set design, costume design, lighting design, direction and understanding of text, theatre history, history of performative arts, art history, film history, analogue animation techniques, technical drawing, figure drawing and garment drawing. My final project consisted of a written report and an installation (model + hand drawn animation) based on the theories of theatre and puppetry by Edward Gordon Craig as well as the movements of the 1920s. The project was nominated for the Academy Prize.
Before my studies in Vienna I studied classical piano and music history and -theory at a conservatory preparational education in Denmark.
In the past I have worked on productions at i.a. Theater an der Wien, Theater Dortmund, Schauspiel Leipzig and Deutsches Theater Berlin.
